Assistant Social Worker, Children Services, London

Assistant Social Worker required for a contract based in London. Our client is looking for a candidate with experience in children and families service, ideally specialising in children frontline services. The main purpose of the post is under supervision, to manage a caseload of “less complex cases” within care management practices and procedures. ASAP start date!!!

Assistant Social Worker required for a local authority with a reputation for paying above the industry standard. Our client is currently seeking a self motivated Assistant Social Workers to join their young peoples and children’s department (Front line Services). MAJOR TASKS 1. To understand and comply with the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy. 2. To uphold and comply with the statutory provision of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and any other relevant legislation or Council Policies and Procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work. 3. To understand and actively promote the Council’s Customer Service Policy, ensuring the needs of our customers are considered at all times to enable the Council to meet its customer satisfaction targets. 4. To provide practical help, advice and counselling to children and families. 5. To assist childrenfamilies in accessing services and benefits required to support them in the community. Essential candidate requirements: 1. Experience of working with social services customers, both community care and Children and Families services. 2. Knowledge of the role equipment for daily living and how this can support individuals to live at home. 3. NVQ qualification (or similar) in social care 4. An ability to jointly manage complex community care cases with a qualified social worker. 5. Ability to keep up to date and accurate records of cases and other information 6.
