Qualified Social Worker required for a children and families service based in London. Our clients are ideally looking for candidates who hold a minimum 6 months direct experience in frontline services, however they are happy to review CV's for candidates who have other relevant skills. Candidates need to hold a current CRB (Issued within the year), GSCC documentation and DipSW or equivalent.

Qualified Social Workers (QSW) required for a local authority with a reputation for paying above the industry standard. Our client is currently seeking a self motivated, hard working x3 Qualified Social Workers to join their young peoples and children’s department. Ideally candidates will have a minimum 3 years working knowledge within children and families settings, with experience of court work and child protection procedures, although candidates with less but fully relevant experience will also be considered. The successful candidate will be working with individual service users, undertaking assessments in line with the Assessment Framework and other relevant local and national guidance, including that for looked after children(LAC), Children in Need(CIN) and young people, providing advice, assistance, counselling and other forms of personal assistance with the aim of enhancing andor protecting individual welfare. Support can be offered in house and training opportunities may well be available. You will also be required to deal with initial referrals and write initial and core assessments showing the customers progress. Plan support and execute various care plans and packages to make the service users lives as comfortable as possible. The council has a highly established reputation for high standards of professional service. The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW (or equivalent), must be registered with the GSCC, have a current CRB and hold a valid UK driving license. The post is looking to run for a minimum 7 months contract (3 months reviews). Pay rates are negotiable based on experience and availability.
